jason r. crain is currently an entrepreneur in residence at Amazon, serving in the capacity of technical product manager for the hardlines visual search team based in Atlanta, GA. 

pre acquisition, jason served as the coo & co-founder of Partpic, Inc., a visual search startup for replacement parts. Partpic’s proprietary visual recognition software makes it easy for users to identify and purchase replacement parts by simply snapping a photo. as co-lead of the Partpic team, jason has established key partnerships, developed operational infrastructure, and launched aggressive fundraising campaigns. with a firm understanding of consumer operations, marketing and business development, he is helping to scale Partpic’s success.

prior to Partpic, jason founded the product marketing team at Shazam, a top ten-downloaded mobile music application. over three years, he helped build the company’s global client services’ advertising capacity, which surged them to a billion dollar valuation in 2015.

his career in technology began in nyc as a digital advertising consultant at Google, Inc., where he worked with fortune 100 consumer packaged goods (cpg) brands on their search engine marketing mobile and online video strategies. his clients included Diageo, Avon, Estee Lauder, LVMH, L'Oreal, Colgate and others.

jason has served on the boards of and IncubateNYC and enjoys bridging the technological gaps in underserved communities. jason currently serves on the board of directors and brain trust for ScholarMade charter schools and as an advisor for

jason was selected to the 2016 Forbes 30 under 30 in manufacturing and was awarded the 2015 drum major award by Morehouse College for alumnus service and achievement.

a Morehouse College phi beta kappa graduate, he earned two ba degrees in foreign languages: spanish and business administration: marketing. jason was born and raised in kansas city, mo.
